Tap Dance

Tap dance is an exciting, theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals.  Dancers use their feet to make sounds, creating intricate rhythms and melodies.

Children can enrol in Tap classes from the age of 3 at RC Performing Arts in our Pre-school Stage class.  Using creative play, and our imaginations, we can create fantastic sounds and have lots of fun.

Graded examinations begin at Pre-Primary (age 5) and continue through to Grade 6.  Each Grade develops new steps, builds on technique, and creates new rhythms, challenging the dancer’s musicality and style of dance.

Vocational training is offered from Intermediate to Advanced 2 for students who show great potential and rhythmicality in Tap.
